because there is another rachel in the same grade .Make sure the nickname relates to my name because the teachers will call me that

ummm...a nickname isn't something that you give yourself...let your nickname just come to you instead of making one up...oh and a tip: dont go through the school year making up names and "this is my song and my name and my...element" or something like that...get a true to yourself name and stick with it. i did hte whole thing where for 1/4 of the year my name was ____ and then the next 1/4 of the year it was something else and so on. but then at the end of the year 2 of the teachers started calling me Honey Girl...oh and a teacher isnt gonna wanna call anybody ray ray all the time...their not that layed back.

I like Ra (pronounced like raw, not ray). Most nicknames for Rachel are shortened pet names that teachers won't use, so you could try going by your middle name or just pick a name you like and tell everyone it's your middle name.
