I've been to Kings Island every year for the past probably 10 yrs. and I've heard Cedar Point is fun. Its a 2-4 hr. farther drive i think for me

So would it be worth the extra drive?

ABSOLUTELY!!!
Best place I've ever been.
They have one coaster that goes from 0 to 160 mph in 4 seconds. AWESOME!!!!
Plus they have a lot of nice relaxing rides, a couple of good water rides in the amusement park area, and then they actually have a 2nd half that is a waterpark.
Plus if you stay with some of the hotels affiliated with Cedar Point, you can get in an hour earlier and ride rides.
It's great!!!!

I have gown up going to King's Island and love going there, but because I've been there so much it gets rather boring to me at times. I have only been to Cedar Point a couple of times but I absolutely love it. I don't know if it's because I haven't been there as much or if it's just that good. I don't know how those that have grown up going to Cedar Point every summer feel about it. But, I think it's a better park. More rides. Hopefully Kings Island will improve - I haven't heard of the new coaster but its about time! If Kings Island is close to you, you may want to consider a season pass. There is one available that will get you into any Cedar Fairs park and you get your moneys worth after about the second time you go. I live 2 hours from King's Island and had one a couple years ago and loved it and now you can get into Cedar Point with it too.

I am inthe same spot you are, I grew up with a seasons pass to Kings Island and I just thought it was the greatest. If you like the rollercoasters Cedar point has mre running rollercoasters than any other theme park, it also has a lot of the top tens as far as height speed etc. I think that Kings Island will always be my park but Cedar Point is worth a shot!

Cedar Point all the way, but that's because I was born and raised in Cleveland and went to Cedar Point often. It's on the lake and the view is great and the rides are awesome. Haven't been to Kings Island in 25 years!!!

If you've never been to Cedar Point you should go, it's well worth it! Have fun!!

I've been to both, Cedar Point better, but for an extra 2-3hr drive, its not worth going every time. Like for me, Kings Island is 45min away, and Cedar Point is (I'm guessing) 4hrs away.

Cedar Point is a great destination for a Road Trip -- Been ages since I've been there, but have never been disappointed in the rides or attractions.

Of course, nothing compares to the Beast - But the Magnum was the only roller coaster I have been on where I was scared on the first hill, front car. I loved it!

I have a season pass for Cedar Point and it is by far the best amusement park ive ever been to. they have 68 rides and 16 rollar coasters. be sure to get a cheese on a stick. they are really good. ive been to Kings Island and it doesnt really compare to Cedar Point. Cedar Point has more to select from, rides and all. be sure to ride Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force. those are the two best rides there. have fun!
