My breasts weren't sore at all either of my pregnancies. So no it is not a for sure sign of pregnancy. Although if it has consistently been the case for you, you can take a test to be sure. But it is totally normal for breasts to also become tender before the start of your period. I dont have this problem either but I have PLENTY of friends that do so dont worry yourself. Just let your body do its thing and you'll be fine ;)

I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago. But I do remember that before my periods would show up, my breasts would get awfully sore. I have never had kids, so I don't know about them being sore during pregnancy, other than what I have heard.

my breasts get sore when i ovulate and remain that way for like 3 days, mine aren't sore when my period starts. i haven't been pregnant yet. i don't have sore breasts when i'm stressed other wise they would be hurtin all the time. a lot of women's breasts become sore when they are pregnant because of hormones from the devoloping baby. so even tho pregnancy is a cause for sore breasts it's really hard to tell if you are just pregnant from it.

It can mean both dear. My breasts get tender and sore every month a week before I have my menses. If you do not get your menses when you are suppose to that would generally warrant a preganncy test but it normal and common in some women.

yes it is possible. perhaps you should get a pregnancy test just in case, but...my personal doctor told me that if you cut out caffeine it will alleviate that problem of breast tenderness and swelling.
