State and county laws vary on that. Since he was treated for a social phobia, maybe you could just speak to the person in charge of the closer school. Otherwise, you could always use the address of a friend or relative who does live in that school's district.
As I said, laws are different everywhere - maybe you will have no trouble getting him into the closer school. Good luck. :)

Find out from the district or parish what the fee is for attending. Public school is free for the people who pay taxes in the area. Otherwise you have to pay tuition. Unless you sign over guardianship to someone else who lives in the area and your child resides with them. Good luck.

As far as I know you should be able to, although you would have to provide the transportation to and from school and school activities. I am basing my answer on the fact that I live in Lansing, Michigan and we do have "schools of choice" here. I hope you have the same there.

Probably not without a waiver. Call your local board of education and find out what their policy is for attending school in another district.

I'm not sure about the restrictions now, but it use to be, you had to pay for transfering. Which normally cost around $1500.00 per year per child.
Plus you must provide transportation for both ways.
