You're not supposed to be able to take songs OFF ipods. It's Apple's way of stopping the pirating of songs. I know there's a way though. This is all I can find though. Try some Yahoo Searches.

Ok, on a PC. Download a program like Ipod2pc (http://www.casicakes.com/). You can do a free trial, but it skips about 50% of the songs you want to transfer. You can buy the program for about $20 (http://www.casicakes.com/purchase.html) and I don't think it ever expires.

I also found a program called Sharepod (http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod). I think it's free but the website is more confusing so I don't know how easily you'll be able to figure out the program.

The easiest way is probably just get a program like Ares (www.aresgalaxy.ORG -not ".com") and download all the songs you want that your friend has a vice versa. It's not that legal, but just move the songs out of the share folder when you're done and delete the program. The feds won't bother you for downloading 50 songs or something, they're looking for people that are downloading hundreds of them, or downloading movies and other copyrighted stuff.

Good luck!!!
