Fabreze works on anything...not the air freshener. I don't think it is as good as the fabric spray.
Cutting Board
To rid cutting board of onion, garlic or fish smell, cut a lime or lemon in two and rub the surface with the cut side of the fruit.
Deodorizer
Boil a little vinegar or a teaspoon of cloves in a half-cup water to dispel cooking odors.
Odors
Add a few teaspoons of sugar and cinnamon to an empty pie tin and slowly burn over the stove. Your family will think you have been baking all day.

Put 1/2 a lemon in 1 cup of water in a glass dish in your microwave for 5 minutes. Then open the microwave door and let the smell waft about the room.
Otherwise, air out the house.

My wife puts a large bowl of vinegar out when she starts cooking the fish. You would be amazed how well that little trick works. The next morning she pours the vinegar back in the bottle ready for use again.
Try it next time you fry fish.

Boil a bit of vinegar on the stove top. Maybe a cup or two. Fish smell disappears.
