Practically every kind of magazine has a place that gives readers the mailing address and sometimes the limitations of submissions, such as word count, subject matter, etc.

Get a friend to take a lot of photos of you with a digital camera (in different clothes and backgrounds) and then select a 10-20 really nice photos and create a digital portfolio which you can put this on line and just have business cards with the link on (which you then send them, find the email on there site), a lot cheaper than having them printed. If you would like a portfolio site please contact me and I will set you on up for free.
examples of work can be provided on request. just message me here if you want, i am a professional website designer but have lots of free time (and enough money) so i am currently doing free sites for small bands, small artist etc, basically anyone who could not afford them otherwise.
