You would use it to stay dry and odor free. Most people I know put it on their hand first then put it wherever they want it on their body.

Baby powder works about the same as talc except baby powder is more commonly cornstarch. Anyway, you can sprinkle it on or use a big fluffy puff and you use it after you're dry from your bath. It makes the surface of your skin very velvety and smooth, especially in creases like your inner elbow, back of knees, and underarms. If it's hot out, baby powder kind of helps with sweat. It absorbs oil and water on the skin's surface, thereby making it more velvety. A lot of bath and beauty companies make scented body powder for this purpose but mostly, it's just a fancy way or layering scent. You don't really "need" it...

Powder is used to keep you dry. You need to sprinkle some on your hands and apply it to the area you want. However, powders should not be used in the genital area.

I use it on my daughter because TX can be so hot and humid. I use a giant powder puff that I get at Target in the cosmetics aisle. They're like make-up powder puffs, but way bigger. I also use powder in molds when I make things using polymer clay. It keeps the clay from sticking to the mold.

Baby powder can prevent you from sweating in certain areas. Although, it has been known to be very bad for babies and children. So, I would suggest not using it on or around them, as the fine particals are loose in the area and they breath it in.

Powder is used to keep moist areas of the body dry, to avoid chaffing and such.

Clean the area, dry it well, then lightly dust the area with powder. Reapply as needed.

i sometimes use it between my legs and around my breasts to cut down on chafing and sweat accumulation on really hot, humid days. i either put it in a powder container and use a puff or just put some in my hand and pat it in the places that i want it.

there are other uses, but that's the only way i use it.

I sometimes use it on my feet when I'm wearing uncomfortable sandles. I just sprinkle on and rub it in. It helps your feet slide comfortably and also helps a little with sweating.

I use it after my shower on my legs, under arms, and Butt... it helps keep you dry, expecially in the summer.

You can also put it in your hair when you come home from a smokey party and don't want to shower before bed, it covers the smell of smoke.
