While you're busy mourning the Iraqis, take a minute to remember the tens of thousands of innocent Kurds Saddam had murdered (including women and children). Then there are the 3000 plus killed on 9/11. Not that anyone necessarily wants the Iraqis to die, but casualties are a part of war. By the way, how many of those 20,000 were killed by Iraqi "insurgents"?

The current estimates are 40,000 Iraqi civilians, plus military, police and insurgents. What is an Iraqi insurgent, if he is an Iraqi?

Here is a stab at it....
Iraqi's died every day under the old regime. Our country is sacrificing to better their country. Of course, no innocent people should have to die and it is a tragedy for any one to lose their life but I think it is more poignant for us to see our people dying to save their people....

Because the media that reports the news is American and this is America. In Iraq it is the other way around.

Because we are more concerned with Americans getting killed by Iraqis, not Iraqis killing Iraqis

Precisely. They are playing off the dead soldiers to make profits here in the US.
What's worse is that these terrorists, bombers, etc are killing 10X more people (their own people) than soldiers from any country.

They are the ones blowing them selves up. No american would do that. People do care but war is war and innocent people die. It sucks but it's true.
