That is a very loaded question. I live in California, and I know people who love the city where I live, but I'm not one of them. Some of the places I really like are places other people won't like.

I love the ocean, and I think Pismo Beach is the best place. I hate crowds, but my son loves them. He thinks San Diego is the best place, with San Francisco a close second.

My second choice is Half Moon Bay, with Santa Barbara next on the list. I would also like to live in Summerland, or Montecito (Where Oprah Winfrey has purchased the most expensive real estate in America).

For a more rural community, You would choose Grass Valley, and if you want a small town on a river, Ione. Mountain living is great in Tahoe, or Truckee.
