I'd vote for Chicago. My friend and I did a girl's weekend there in early June and it was a great trip. It's a pretty walkable city with taxis and public transportation, so you don't need to worry about a car. There are tons of bars, great shopping, comedy shows, and the beaches on the lake are not too far away from the city center. Plus it's significantly cheaper than NYC. Vegas! that is, if you want to go clubbing and have a crazy time with memories that you'll just start spontaneously laughing about weeks after your trip... otherwise, a great beach weekend--maybe the outer banks in NC or somewhere up along the Delaware Shore (Dewey and Rehoboth are both a lot of fun!)
