I get this error when I try to navigate to a website in IE. What do I do to fix this?

You need to look at the "file extension" of the file you are trying to download (the last 3 or so characters after the "dot") and then install a "helper program" that can process it.

Example: If the file ends in ".doc" you will need MS Word... or for ".xls" you will need MS Excel, etc.

In many cases, you can install a "viewer" application that will give limited access to view (but not edit) the downloaded item.

Example: Adobe provides a free ".pdf" reader that will let you view (only) PDF files, but you will need to purchase Acrobat to create/edit these files.

Also, Microsoft provides FREE viewers for most Office programs (like Word, XL, and Powerpoint) at their website as well.
