I've benn having dreams about water that really scare me. Like one was about like we went to the lake and this giant turtle came out of the water and ate my friend. And in another dream, there was a snake that sucked me in the water and drowned me to death. I am afraid of the sea. Do you thik I should be because of my dreams? I can be in a pool, but not in a lake or ocean.

It' not that I have to go either. I just don't like what's in the water.(animals that I've never seen.)

A little bit of water has never hurt anybody.
A lot of water has killed thousands of people.

No, you shouldn't. While a little healthy fear is good, whith phobias it's all about confronting your fears. Seriously. When I was little, I was so terrified of the dark, I wouldn't sleep at night. Now, I can't sleep unless it's totally pitch black! Honestly, they are called phobias for a reason- they're unhealthy and irrational. You can overcome the fear, but it isn't fun. If you don't want to though, just promise yourself that you will never let your fear cripple you. Think of the fun you have in the pool with your friends. Don't let some silly dreams ruin that.

Do u think u should be afraid of the water? Dreams, can mean totally diff. things. Like DeJa Vu, u dream about one thing and then the next day it happens. Water is just like everything else. U know it's there, know what it can do, so y b afraid of it. It's like taking a bath in a really big bath tub.

everyone has a fear, but people can get over them. there is no right answer to your question; it should only be based upon opinion. one way to get over your fear of large bodies of water, which i think you should do, is face it and don't be nervous. go to the nearest lake with family or friends and you don't necessarily have to go in it, but try to enjoy your time there, nearby it. watch your friends/family go in the water and when they come out, you might realize that lakes are safe. if you don't think about your dreams, then you could realize that the lake shouldn't be something to fear and worry over. but for the ocean, i'm also a bit afraid of that, but what i do is not think about it or unhealthily dwell on my worries and fears of it. =]

I would say no...I found this
Having water in your dreams is a very common occurrence. Whether you are dreaming of an ocean, a pond, or even a glass of water, it seems everyone dreams of water at some point in their lives. And in your dreams, water alludes to the most basic parts of ourselves - emotion. Water most always represents our waking emotion.

I think that you should not be afraid of water. I think that it is just a symbol of somethng in your life that makes you have this fear. I think that being afraid is something you should look at. I think the opposite. I think you should do the opposite I think you should go to the lake and stare in the water and go right in. Face your fear.

i don't mean to scare you but if most of your dreams are about dieing in water or someone you know perishing in water, then i'd be pretty edgy myself. Just do what you feel comfortable with.

It isn't neccessary. Maybe you have rabies, it manifests as a fear of water, among other things.
Always read the label.
