Vegeta gets the Namek's dragon to grant him three wishes:
1) Bring back the earth
2) Return everyone (who was innocent) who was killed that day - including those he killed himself
Once everyone returned and after some talking, everyone on earth gave Goku their energy to bulk up his Spirit Bomb. Kid Buu was still able to hold off Goku's delivery since Goku was not at full power.
After making a funny joke, Vegeta makes his final wish: 3) Goku is returned to full strength. The Spirit Bomb is unleashed on Kid Buu and is destroyed.

He doesn't die, he chenges into Ubuu (a little boy) and becomes Gohan's (I think its Gohan) first student.
