1) World War One
2) The wallstreet crash of 1929
3) The great depression
4) World War Two
5) The Cold War and arms race
6) the Korean Police Action( Korean Conflict/ Korean War)
7) The Vietnam War
8) The drug War
9) the war on poverty
10) The Banking crisis
11) Several recessions
12) Japanese competition in Autos
13) The First Iraq War
14) Civil rights crisis of the sixties
15) Escalating medical costs
16) real dollar lowering of wages and income
16) Increased Insurance costs
17) Increased education costs
18) foreign competion in all areas of commerce
19) outsourcing of American jobs
20) the devastating financial aftermath of the attack on the twin towers
21) the second IRAQ war
22) Drugs Drugs Drugs and porn and their effect on the character and capability of todays leaders

They do help old people. Ever hear of Social Security and Medicare.

It helps both of them. If your talking of Labour and its pension reforms, every party agreed on the reforms. We need a reform of the current pensions to keep the economy stable. However, our birth rate is starting to fall off so people will children will undoubtedly be helped. Its fair for both sides, whatever the right wing press thinks

Actually, they do help older people. Babies and oldler people are the only ones who get help. It's everyone inbetween that they could care less about.
