I don’t want to give the answer away but the Browns Jets game was the first televised not the first game.

It was an Experiment of Pete Rozelle: the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions game on September 28, 1964. While the game was not televised, it drew a sellout crowd of 59,203 to Tiger Stadium.

browns and jets and it was ironic becuase the final game between the jets and the pats ended in the same score. 35-21 as the first.
