The boys were playing with modeling clay, (while unsupervised), and smooshed it into the concrete sidewalk leading up to the front door. It seems to be oil based so I cannot scrub it away, water just rolls right off, and the concrete is porous, so a spackling knife only helped in removing the raised parts. Whatever we do, the clay only adheres more. Anyone have any suggestions?

You could use a bristle brush with stiff bristles and some dish soap. That's how I get it off my table.

Try using some ice to freeze it...it works with chewing gum...you harden the clay with the ice and then it just chips away....just a suggestion.
