Those are great names. I've heard a couple of ways to tell if the name is a "good" one. 1. Practice yelling it for a kid to come home for dinner. 2. Picture it on a movie marque and don't forget trying to make nicknames that can be embarrassing by switching letter or by using intials. Your choices passed the first two with flying colors, I'd go see a movie starring Alexander Thomas ------, produced and directed by Olivia Grace------.
Other than the nickname Olive Oil, I can't think of anything horrible other kids could do. I think you've picked two winner.
Best of luck with little Alex or Olivia and congratulations.

Not a big fan of Alexander or Thomas but whatever you want to do I guess. Olivia is probably the most beautiful name ever I think...my cousin's name is Olivia and I love it! I love all the nicknames she has like Livi, Livia, Liv, etc. As for Grace, I think it's a little trendy these days and it's way overused. You could go with Josephine (that's my cousin's middle name and I think it's adorable!)

They are both very classic names and flow well together.
My wife and I decided that we each got to choose one name for our two children (one of which is due in 1 month). we also had veto power over the others selection so that the child didnt end up with a name one or the other of us couldn't stand. After we had chosen the names we then took turns sameing them in different order so as to see which way we preferred.
Hence out first daughter is Ada Christiana and our New Daughter will be Ana Marie

Both are cute! You could call Alexander "Alex" of course, and Olivia could be called "Liv" or "Livy" for short. Even Gracie would be sweet, even though it's the middle name. They both flow together nicely, sound very classy, but have great nickname opportunities. It really can be hard to name a child sometimes, so many people to "please." Just keep in mind that it's your baby, and you shouldn't name him or her anything but what you want. I think passing on names can sometimes get silly. I know, because my middle name is "old" , but it was passed down. My mother got sentimental at the last moment and named me the most Southern name from the bible, TWO. I won't share them though, just thought you would like to know that:-)

Name your child what you like. Your child is a product of you and your husband. The baby's name doesn't have to come from anyone in the family. All you have to do is make sure you like it. There isn't anyone who rightfully has a place to question why you picked a specific name for your child. I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and your child is born happy and healthy.

I really like Alexander - if I have a boy I will also name him that but I am not too hot on Olivia Grace. I personally do not like the name Grace.

Yes. . .Names speak volumes of people. It is believed that your name enables you to identify with your personal characteristics. With a name like Grace. . I can imagine she'll be a beautiful ballerina. No, but seriously, there very "Jackie O," names. Meaning: They exude sophistication, class and elegance.

Nice names. One thing: There tons of Alexes, Olivias & Graces out there, so it won't be unique. Lovely & classic, but not different.
