I just cannot take birth control pills. I always have incredibly weirdo side-effects that freak my doctor out, like chest pains, my legs going numb, etc. She said maybe I could try yet another kind of pill, but I told her I'd just have to think about that.
We do not want to use condoms. I have found VCF is very pleasurable for us, but I worry about it being completely effective.
Any thoughts on this?
Also, any suggestions on other birth control?

I have a 10 year old son from when I used it...what about a diaphragm?

When I wasn't on birth control yet, I doubled up on contraceptives. We didn't use condoms, I used Vaginal Contriceptive Film before and VCFoam after. You could also talk to your doc about the Depot shot.

I get the depo shot. They say it makes you gain weight but Ive had no weight gain and Ive been on it for three years. I dont have a clue how effective the foam is, but I have a freind who uses the foam AND a condom. Oh, I just found this site that about foam http://www.fpnotebook.com/GYN16.htm

Well just bear in mind that nothing is 100% effective. Now that aside - I've been hearing a lot of good things about microbicides and how they're being developed for prevention against STD's as well as contraception.

I wouldn't just rely on that. Try getting a diaphragm or a cervical cap to use with the foam.
