According to the newest growth charts (see sources section below) which are considered the most accurate because they are based on babies who are *known* to be well-nourished...
Your baby was born at about the 10th percentile for weight and 3rd for length. She is now over the 50th percentile for weight and over 25th for length. So *all* the numbers are well within normal limits.
I hope this helps.

That doesn't send off any warning bells, but I'm certainly no expert. My son was 4 weeks early and weighed 6 lbs 11 oz's and was 21 inches but I can't remember what he was at 4 months (he's almost a year).
My middle daughter was born huge but got tiny real fast and stayed that way. She is 3 years old, 2.3 feet tall and weighs just 28 lbs. She's perfectly proportioned, just little. Talk to your paediatrician if you're concerned, but your best guide is baby's health I think. Is she eating and developing normally? If so then she might just be destined to be a smaller than average person.

No, she's not small and she wasn't really that small when she was born either, considering she was 3 1/2 weeks early. My sister was, like, a week early and she was the same weight and just a half inch longer than your daughter, but she caught up and was off the charts for her height by the time she was eighteen months. People are just saying she's small because they're not used to seeing a little baby that small.

Every baby is different, just like adults and children are different shapes and sizes. My son was probably smaller than 14 lbs and my middle daughter was a little bigger. None of my children were premature. What would make you believe all babies need to fit a certain mold? People told me the same thing about my babies and I just learned to take it in the spirit in which it was given. Some people are simply concerned and others want to find a way to be mean-spirited and irritating. Just remember weight is mostly determined by genetics, if you are skinny your kids will most likely be skinny. Also, if you are breast-feeding your babies will tend to measure smaller because the scale most doctors use is based upon formula fed babies.

No she isn't small..She is doing really good for a baby that was born 3 weeks early.my daughter only weighed 6 lbs and was 19 1/2 inches long and she was full term..Some children are just slower at growing it depends on the parents and their back grounds....

My baby was born 6 weeks early and he weighed 5lbs and was 18 inches. On Thursday, he will be five months and I think he weighs about 15lbs and about 24 inches long now or so. His last doctor's appt he was 14lbs 6oz and 24 inches long...everyone says he is small for a five month old....to me, he is growing more and more everyday and I personally think he is getting bigger and bigger....I say who cares what everyone else thinks....=)

Babies usually double their birthweight at 6 months old and triple it at 1 year old. Going by that, your daughter is absolutely fine and healthy! She started out tiny, remember. Being a month early, she could really be compared to a 3-month old. Also, you can go to a baby growth chart website and fill in your numbers and see where she falls on the growth curves. If the weight and height fall in the same percentile she is fine!
