Wuthering Heights. A classic fictional novel with romance, drama and suspense. It is one of the only novels that I was teary eyed at the end. Definitely a women's novel.....

Le Perfum ... Patrick Suskind...

My old granfather told me once " never do something good that appears to be bad and never do something bad that appears to be good "

Very ethical lesson, that is this book is expressed from all the angels avaliable, also make us realize what happen to someone with many advantages that cannot fit anywhere and makes everything to fit, even do what his senses say to him is right to do, but to others is not, where goes freedom ?
Is really our freedom limited for other people intention , maybe is the same what happens with a terrorist attack, when someone is killed by consequence of a violent or planned act of another human being that thinks is right to ocassionate that incident.
The book is deep because explore the inside of the character , the outside and also the intentions of the enviroment, even elements that are not tangibles are characters of the story and are truthful motivators of the actions. Great subject, great narrative, kind of extreme the final, because more than self destructive was like redemption destruction, at the end, the main or better, secondary character ( if smell is the first ), dies, not because of moral laws, not because of crimes, not because of being negative different, or not fit, dies because of reach a kind of perfection associated with human beliefs of supernatural beings , what totally gives a turn to the story and really is surprising. Developed yes, not expected, off course, but Extreme.

Read this, is like reading Kafka wihout the need to be in total depression to understand it.

Getting The Love You Want by Harville Hendrix.

It is a NY best seller and he's been featured on Oprah numerous times. He's a psychologist that explains the fundamentals of why couples have difficulty and how it is based on the way we grew up which is why couples have such a hard time working through conflict. It was the most eye awakening book I've ever read. I bought a copy for my entire family, my fiancee (who at the time was my boyfriend and we were barely making it), and my friends. they've all said it changed their lives. I wish every single human being could read it before they got married. It would change the world and how we experience love and how we interpret love. :)

I don't have an absolute favourite but if I had to choose 1, it'd Glenn Kleier's "The Last Day". Makes the "DaVinci Code" look like some children's book.

"Midnight's Children" by Salman Rushdie

this is the best book I've ever read because it has so many layers you have to figure out and it has so many cultural connotations you have to figure out. The main character too is great. And it's a really funny book too. Loved it.

The Once and Future King. It's the story of Arthur, from childhood through old age.

There's fun fantasy at the beginning, and thoughtful discussion of "does might make right" throughout. I loved the lessons learned about life and love (hey, nice alliteration).

"Animal Farm" by George Orwell. A true classic. Nearly impossible to put down. A must read for any deep thinkers out there. Power can corrupt and when it does it has far reaching effects.
