Using your reason for making alcohol illegal we should make cars illegal since the kill thousands, what about sugar that kill, and then their food which people also abuse maybe that should be illegal. Or maybe we should outlaw some foods and limit the amount anyone can consume. Then who makes the rules and who inforces them?
It seems that the self righteous people of this world (control freaks) think that by outlawing things people want will make this a better world, even though they have be proven wrong over and over again. Prohibition did not work it killed more people thought gang warfare and poised products. Innocent people killed that did not even use alcohol. They just happen to be in the wrong place at the right time. We see it today as the gangs fight over turf. So they can sell their drugs and make money. If we made it legal not only would we cut off the money incentive for gangs but we would also stop contaminated drugs reaching the users which kills them also. They would not need to steal and hurt other to get what they want. The money to pay for the high priced drugs and the money used to chase these people could be use to help them quit the dangerous drug.
Take the profit from the warlords in Afghanistan and give the money to the farmer who grow the stuff. They would not have the resources or the incentive to control so many people.
It time to stop wasting time and money trying to prevent people from doing what they want to do. Prostitution, drugs, multiple wives, gay marriages. etc. We should be free to choose what we want.
Learn to control your own life that’s hard enough
Tring to control other is why we have so many problem
Wars, etc.

A very cogent argument can be made that potable alcohol should be banned, and if you'll study American History, you'll find that indeed there was a Constitutional Amendment ratified some time ago that outlawed the substance. But it simply didn't work, because you cannot legislate morality. It actually created a whole new class of criminal, supported by the majority of American citizens. So that Amendment was repealed after a few years by yet another Amendment.
Again, a reasonable person can argue that others should not consume alcohol. One must realize, however, that accusing those who disagree with you of supporting murder of innocents - as you do when you accuse us of being "pro-killing innocent Americans", you do nothing more than anger a significant number of decent, upstanding citizens. You do not encourage them not to drink when you do that, nor do you embarrass them with such accusations.
There are better ways to express your concerns, with which, as a retired hospital emergency room nursing supervisor with over forty years experience, I tend to agree - to a point. Although I have seen, time and again, in both Army hospitals and civilian ones, the ghastly bloody mangled remains of people who've died as a result of alcohol-related accidents, I also recognize that alcohol has legitimate uses.
You are better off describing alcohol as a potent drug that must be used with discretion. Remind folks - without getting in their faces - of the problems that misuse of the drug can cause. Ask that they help ensure that it stays out of the hands of minors. Thank your legislators for enacting regulations that protect people from misuse of the drug. And accept that you will never eliminate the substance or its misuse entirely. And thank you for your concern.

The point of alcohol is great, some days I am so tense, I sit down with a glass of wine and relax. No, I am not an alcoholic, but I like having the option.
But yes, alcohol enable people to kills, it cause drunk drivers who kill innocent children and people in car accidents, it enables people to change their personality and become awful self-centered people, this kills families and relationships, it can also kill people directly - cirrhosis, it can lead to a disease called alcoholism.
But as I have written above, there is a good side to alcohol and a bad side. There is no point in throwing out the baby with the bath water.
There is no good side to terrorism.
Your arguement is not logical. It does not hang together. Do not go into law unless you plan on defending only proven without a doubt killers and terrorists.

It is not quite the same thing. Many people enjoy a drink and don't become alcoholics or drive drunk. We already tried making alcohol illegal back in the 1920's, this lead to the rise of gangsters and gang warfare over turf for selling bootleg booze.
Also, there is too much money being made from it for it ever to be made illegal again.
And also people choose to drink it is a free choice. THis is supposed to be a free country.
Interesting also that Osama comes from a country where it is illegal to consume alcohol...maybe not drinking causes you to become a terrorist?

there is absolute no info that marijuana is proper to terrorism. it really is a plant that were very sensible to society. decrease back in the first colonial settlement, it become unlawful no longer to strengthen marijuana because it become necessary for rope. The heritage of the way it become made unlawful is amazingly interesting, I recommend you look at it. It become finished through propaganda and through people hoping to strengthen their agencies earnings through eliminating a competitor. Alcohol does impression your reminiscence and would reason lasting damage to an abusers mind. It motives people to act irrational, emotional and uninhibited. Marijuana makes someone extra careful and imaginitive. It does produce rigidity it some people, yet Alcohol motives people to change into violent and stupid. tens of millions of violent crimes like rape, attack and battery are committed through drunks. each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days people die from overdoses, motor vehicle injuries and different injuries (like falling off something) using alcohol. at the same time as become the perfect time you heard of a few one death from Marijuana it isn't obtainable to overdose. also it isn't bodily addicting. probability? i'm no longer optimistic what's so risky about gardening. the probability and corruption comes from the very undeniable actuality that it really is illegitimate. If it become no longer a criminal offense, then shoppers does no longer be criminals. i do not see how marijuana is inherently evil.

I am pro-choice. People have the right to make responsible decisions on what they want to do. If I want to drink a beer I have that right. I don't have the right to get into a car drunk and kill another person in an accident. Take away the irresponsible drinking, not drinking altogether.

Go back to your history books and check out the 1920s. Alcohol was outlawed and crime increased tremendously. It was called "The Great Experiment" and if failed. Prohibition (18th Amendment passed in 1918) It was repealed in 1933 (21st Amendment)
Moderation is the key.
Many cultures include alcohol (like wine) in with their customs- food and celebration. If you use it wisely, there is no need to prohibit it.

Pot is a healing herb used by native Americans and it is illegal.
alcohol and tobacco, as it is sold by big tobacco company's, kill more people than all the illegal drugs combined. Pot would not make as much money for the government as alcohol or tobacco or leaving pot illegal. The government dose not care about how good or bad something is for the people, they only care if it can make the rich richer

The US makes a lot of money taxing cigarettes and alcohol. Also we found out how well Prohibition worked. More people ended up drinking when it was illegal!

Alcohol does not kill people any more than guns kill people. You have to add a stupid person to create death. Therefore, let's make stupidity a crime.
By the way, throwing Osama in the mix simply indicates your level of stupidity.
