The "Cherry Ames" series was written in the late fifties and throughout the sixties, and were similar to the "Nancy Drew" series. Each book involved a mystery that Cherry had to solve, but the difference was that Cherry was a nurse, and in every single book, she was a different type of nurse working in a different envionment and/or job! It was rather amusing, as her character only aged a handful of years, and she went through approximately thirty different jobs!
Have you ever read one of these books? They're rather uncommon.

I read several of the Cherry Ames books as a girl. For a time I thought I wanted to be a nurse myself, because her life seemed so interesting. I may even still have one or two of those books in my attic somewhere!
