I am a big fan of stand-up comedians. I listen to many different acts. I've always found it quite irritating though that a black or hispanic comedian can spend an hour bashing the white man, literally creating his whole act on the differences between whites and blacks, and be cheered by the audience? If you put a white comedian on stage to make racial slurs for an hour he'd be booed off the stage at the very least. You can an NAACP, or 'La Raza' and be lauded by the community and yet any group daring to place the needs of white people first are thrown down as racist? When I went to college, I was truly amazed at how many scholarships were out there, and how relatively few were for white males. In our society's need for equality, has the pendulum not swung too far in the opposite direction? The people who are traditionally accused of discrimating others seem to be the ones who are being discriminated against. I'm white, I'm male, I'm hetero, and I'm tired of being the bad guy.

I agree with you in principal, and I feel political correctness is a form of "New Age McCarthyism". Unfortunately, the pendulum has swung the other way for now, but it was so badly biased in the past, that this is a natural effect. Hopefully it will find a stasis, and color, race or religion won't matter in the next few generations.

Even-though this country is for equality, they are sure perpetuating the separation ideal with all the 'PC'. Here are a few examples...
The EOE laws are sexist and racist. Everyone should be able to become employed if they fit the needs of the position. No company should have to hire so many ___ (fill in the blank yourself) to be compliant with the EOE quotas. I don't want to be hired as the token woman in a male office. I would like to be hired based on my work ethic and skills. If I don't make the cut because I am not skilled then I should make the cut.
Hate laws do not do us justice either. How can you be penalized by the way someone else portrayed your thoughts and actions? If you commit a crime against someone more than likely you did not like that person or you were insane.
To proclaim that you are English, Irish, German, African, Asian, Hispanic, etc. American, you are putting your former country ahead of your current. You should be considering yourself American first and take pride that your ancestors left everything they knew or fought for your current status as an American.
I agree with you...

it goes farther than comedians though. It's about language. English language is the most corrupted, irregular, and constipated language out there. It has no aestheic either. and I am ashamed to have been raised on it.
Once we start speaking a better language, we won't have to worry about the connotation of "white", "caucasian", "anglo" and which one to use. a potato is a potato, not an "underground vegetable".
and relax, you are giving comedians more fuel by complianing. And forgive the minorities for having a bit of fun while they are still minorities.

You are a Racist. I have seen many acts where the white man parodies the black man and other races. I don't take offence. You need to go in a dark room and take a pill.
