Who is the better goalie?

I chose these two because Cam Ward idolizes Martin. In your your opinion, who is the better goalie?

I think Cam Ward's better because he won the Cup as a rookie and Broduer didn't.

Cam Ward has had one season. One. You can't judge a player on one season. So Martin Broduer is clearly the better goalie. Maybe by the time he retires Cam Ward will have had a better career than Brodeur. Or maybe he will turn out to be a flash in the pan, or maybe he'll get into a car accident and never be able to play again. You don't know how he'll be for the rest of his career so you can't know who is the better goalie.

At the current Ward. He is YOUNG. Even if Broduer is as good or better his age is wearing him down. He may have one or two seasons at best. Ward should improve. For the record if you want carrer yes Broduer is better and in his prime I would pick him any night. Not a Devils fan but a Penguins fan so I know his ability. Fact is though I would prefer the younger goalie just because I really don't think Broduer has much left in him as far as years.

Cam Ward was on a hot streak. He is not even a top goaltender. He is not even the best rookie goalie. He is way overrated. Remember that rookie goalie of the Ducks. Everyone was ready to call him the next great all time goalie and he cooled down. This is starting to get ridiculous. Broduer is by far the better goalie. Cam Ward isn't even the best goalie on his team.

Cam Ward had 15 great games. He has his whole career ahead of him. He could be another JS Giguere or Brian Boucher. He may never play great again. Brodeur on the other hand has played 12 years and improves every year. He's the only goalie to win 40 games a season 3 years in a row. He has 3 Stanley Cups, a Vezina and several Jennings. You cannot compare Ward to anyone yet. He hasn't played long enough.

Broduer, with out a doubt. Cam Ward had a great playoffs, granted, but he's still young. Alot of guys have impressive seasons and playoff series, and then fade away. Broduer can still be the base for a championship team. He'll have a better season next year.

Well I like the fact Cam Ward is only 22 years old and has bright future and Martin Brodeur is end of the road maybe a couple year left, so if I had a team I would go for Cam but if we are strictly looking at numbers its future Hall of famer Martin Brodeur

Right now I would choose Cam Ward over Martin Broduer. Cam is much younger and has several more years of great hockey in front of him. Martin may have passed his best years. Overall, who is the best? Only time will tell.
