I have not had the pleasure or displeasure to hear them. We watch our games in Oz with SBS and they have been great, no matter who has played. I have really enjoyed listening to their commentary and the have carried it out without bias as have their match analysts.

They are horrible because first of all they are trying to use the World;s biggest stage to teach people about the sport, like explain offsides a million times. They also have baseball announcers making comments about FOOTBALL(I dont lke the word soccer) They do not capture the excitement of the game, they do not have enough knowledge to judge the game, analyze it or make proper comments about players' form graphic, or their talent level. Come on now, we are talking about announcers, who thought Landon Donovan was as good as Ronaldinho, and in reality this player could not play in a second division in like Poland. I am not even saying second division in Italy, England or Spain where the club competiton is very strong. I live in the US too, and with my limited Spanish try to watch Univision, the excitement the announcers bring to the table is even enough not to watch ESPN. Though I may not understand all they are saying on Univision I still get into the game more.

They do not understand or fully appreciate football. They do not know the strategy of the game, the tactics nor are they familiar with the players save the big name few. They actually believe that the USA is a football ......sorry soccer powerhouse. Somethings they just can't buy...at least not yet.

because all they ever go on about is how the usa is out.
usa sucks, get over it. sadly soccer just isn't big in the us.
they just go on and on about the team, who cares? there out! lets focus on whos acually playing!
good commentators to watch are these two guys on espn2, they sound like they are from england or ireland, and they never talk about the us, there really funny and focus on the whole game, and dont bash the team thats loosing.

I don't speak spanish, but I watched all of the game in Univision...because the ESPN's commentator are boring, suck, stupid, and clueless about soccer.

Cause dave obrien is a baseball guy. Espn got him cause they thought soccer was like any other sport and that dave obrien could easily learn. Balboa is dumb, Dellacamera states the obvious..and back to dave obrien, that guy cant stop talking, i hate him,

They are typical American announcers and know nothing about Soccer or any other sport but tackle football and Baseball.
