Snow falls from November until April. In Las Vegas the difference can be months. I have seen no snow in a year and snow falls from November all the way through to March. Just don't plant during the moths I mentioned and you will be OK.

I don't know about the growing season. I think Las Vegas is mostly desert. i know it starts snowing in the
sierra Nevada mountains in Sept.
