you've faulted by your own standards
you don't need either commas and you split the infinitive:
"to not even". that's incorrect. it should be "not to even" or reworded completely.
also: "why have people gotten"....get rid of that. use "why are people" and use a quantifier. people can't "get" lazy, it's not tangible

Some are still in school - and don't pay any attention there. School these days is like a popularity contest - or a place to go hang with your "homies," rather than a learning institution.
Some consider the abbreviations to be in - a fad - creative.
Some people's first language is not English - and English is a hard language to learn.
It doesn't bother me if people type incorrectly spelled words, or in poor grammar - as long as I can understand what they are talking about.

It doesn't bother me when it is a person who's second language is English (you can tell in some profiles) but when they start using crazy abbreviations for things to the point where I have to look it up ... that is bad. Even worse is when they skip a key or two but don't seem to know where the backspace key is in order to fix it...Why not use the check spelling button people!

Because parents are not holding children responsible for their actions, not enough people are stressing the value of a good education, our sense of a "quality job" is not as high as it used to be, teachers have some of the lowest salaries and as such just don't care. Take your pick. I say teachers should get the salaries that doctors and lawers get. Teachers are the ones that educate the future of our nation.

Yes. You have the Instant Messaging culture to thank for that. People have gotten so into instant messaging and text messaging that now even e-mails and all communication is starting to look like instant messages and text messages.

because this is not a chat site-no one read's the guide lines at the bottom where it tells you types of questions and answers that will get them kicked off the site,so they clog up the board's with chat -then all of a sudden !!!!!!!!!!! there off and can even lose ALL their yahoo access,they don't read the rules first and end up out of the site-by the way your question is on that list under chat !!!!x don't want to lose anybody---- read em please.x
