Everyones on her because she's lied about her weight loss.

I also found this article from the website below.

In the weeks following the shocking attacks of September 11, Star Jones, one of several TV hosts on ABC's television show The View, loudly and publicly proclaimed her belief that atheists are by nature less ethical than other people, that they are unfit for elected office, and that she would therefore cast her vote against an atheist no matter what. (See sidebar for just a few of her comments) This statement confused many Americans, given that all of the hijackers responsible for the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York City justified their violence on the grounds of religious belief. Star Jones's remarks quickly became notorious, associated with the statements of Jerry Fallwell and Pat Robertson blaming atheists and gays for the September 11 attacks.

National protests against The View and Payless Shoes, which uses Star Jones as a spokesperson, have followed her comments. Speculation is high among advertising professionals that many of her lucrative television contracts will soon be canceled. Indeed, it appears increasingly likely that Payless Shoes will drop Star Jones in favor of a less offensive celebrity representative.

That's truly ashame. Star has always been pretentious. . . And, it takes a while for people to understand her plight and power. This may sound outrageous to all the caucasian americans. . But, Star Jones-Reynolds, was a national black figure and sought to portray a positive role in contrast to all of the negative black figures that can be spotted with relative ease throughout mainstream media. In other words, she held the weight of her race in every stride she took, every word she uttered and in every breath she expounded.

If you pay attention closely you'll understand that she was only accepted while she was over weight, dark, and "unattractive." She played right into the stereotypical image of the "mammy," or modern day "black lady," It is much easier to accept an over weight, unattractive, black woman, because that's the way she has been historically accepted in the white home. . . Think about it. Oprah reached the PINNACLE of her career. . . as she reached the apex of her weight gain. . She was fat and famous. . .
Still sound crazy? Tyra Banks has only been widely accepted now that she has gained weight. Women are no longer affronted by her success.

Star. . . attempted to do something positive, but failed due to her over-sized ego and highly zealous campaign to be "smart." Her attempt is notably, but sadly enough. . . There are no longer any black women on day-time morning television in AMERICA.

I had the unpleasant experience of seeing Star Jones coming out to the Ivy in LA in 2005. It was so strange, she had her hanger-ons and she did the kiss kiss then the wave to the crowd. People weren't really admiring her they we're just watching her show off. That's LA. What a farse. She got too big for her britches, shes no Oprah. Besides TV journalist shouldn't become celebrities. They are a bunch of hams. Unfortunately, they will not go away because their egos won't let them.

Well, I must agree with some of the other comments first. Star has an ego that could make her seem,, umm,, very unlikeable. Now that she has reached her ultimate weight loss she has gotten worse. You would think that she was never a larger woman herself.

Heard they are not renewing her contract and she feels as if she was fired. Go figure!

Invest in smaller plates. Little crockery means portion control is quite a bit easier – those diminutive amounts suddenly look huge and you’ll be happier to eat less.
