You can put anything that will fit, into a cedar chest. Many people store wool items in them since moths are repeled by the cedar. Ever wonder why the inside of a cedar chest is unvarnished? A very light sanding every few years will keep the cedar smell fresh. The same goes for cedar lined closets.

Good luck with your cedar chest.

Anything dry, but the cedar repells moths and insects so they became a popular storage for clothes, especially knits, and papers.

Any form of clothing. Cedar will keep bugs from gnawing little annoying holes in your clothes.
