What's the one thing that you're afraid of that everyone tells you you shouldn't be? The one thing that you fear so much that nothing anyone says, unless it was part of months of intensive therapy, can help you get over it?
I'll go first: mine's centipedes. Just thinking about them gives me shivers up my spine, and I feel their legs crawling on my shoulder and down my arm. There was a huge one in my room last night, just over my bed. I finally did manage to hit it with a book, and after I did it I was shaking so badly I could barely walk.
It's your turn. What do you fear?

Just so that everyone's aware, I do not like putting my questions to a vote. My questions always end up in "voting limbo" (where either no one votes or it ends up in a tie that lasts for weeks and weeks and weeks). So, I will be choosing a best answer. That does not mean, however, that I think any less of the other answers. With this question in particular, it's going to be very difficult to choose one that's really "the best."

My irrational fear would take a long time to really explain fully.
This is the abridged version: I have a fear of rejection. It comes from being rejected by too many people in my life.My father,a best friend and way too many women I've been interested in.
I've always gone my own way in life and that seemed to rub some people the wrong way.Because of this fear I tend to spend alot of my spare time in solitary pursuits.I know I can open myself up to other people but this fear still holds me back.

My wife thinks I'm crazy because I'm afraid of heights but I ride roller coasters. I have a hard time on ladders, roofs, even in trees. The fear makes coasters more thrilling to me though

I suppose that I have an irrational fear of the insects that "buzz"...especially the loud ones. Wasps, bees, june-bugs, things of that nature...although hummingbirds freak me out too because of how loud their buzzing sound is.
So I guess I hate anything that buzzes...and since I have very sensitive ears, even alarm clocks that buzz put me in a tizzy...
So buzzing=BAD for me....LOL.

Fishheads. Yep, you read right....fishheads. I can't even go to the fish section of a supermarket nor can I bear to see fishing shows on tv.

Snakes. Forever and always snakes. No amount of therapy will banish this fear.

A huge dog that's loose, near me, growling and showing his teeth. Think I would have a problem?
