It is entirely possible that an accidental pregnancy can still occur, though highly unlikely (like a 1 in 10,000 chance). Then of course there's the possibility that even if conception occurs, you could end up losing the embryo because it couldn't pass all the way through the fallopian tube to the uterus (called a tubal or ectopic pregnancy).
Best bet is to either consider in vitro fertilization or consider having the sterilization procedure reversed (though this can be expensive and only has about a 20% success rate).
As for having a boy - well, that's all up to the man.

There is a chance that you could get pregnant, but very unlikely. The ones that I've heard about have not intended to get pregnant! I wouldn't hope for a pregnancy if your tubes are tied...that's why they want to make sure you do not want any more children before they tie the tubes. There are ways to reverse the surgery, but it is not always successful & you shouldn't count on that either. Maybe adoption would be a consideration if you really want another child.

Yes there is...very unlikely though. One of my friend's mother had her tubes tied, and 2 weeks later found out she was pregnant! I don't know if the procedure is reversable, but she went in for a tubal revision just to make sure this time!!

My youngest brother was born after my mother had her tubes tied. So yes, just pretty unlikely. Im not sure what would increase your odds other than trying to concieve more often and fertillity drugs, though I believe birth defects and major problems are probably more likely if you have your tubes tied.

Sometimes you can go and have the procedure reversed, but other than that, it is very rare to have a baby after getting your tubes tied.

Slim chance but it is not impossible. I hate to say it but I doubted it is easy, and I doubt there are ways other than a medical procedure to increase the possibility. Tying your tubes is pretty permanent, did they not tell you that when you did it?
