No, you are not FAT. According the health chart, you might be 10 pounds over the ideal weight. But I would not consider that fat at all. If you want to tone up, just do an excercise regime three times a week. That should do the trick. But keep in mind that muscles are heavier than fat. So if you lose the fat and gain muscles, you might even be heavier. Strange concept, I know.

i am the same height and weight. i am always called skinny. i don't mean to sterotype; but it depends on the race. i am a woman of color.

it's also depends on how your clothes fit you and how you carry the weight. i carry my weight in the hips and thighs and i try not to wear anything fitted. i don't wear it falling off either.

Add more details about your build and i can offer you some tips to slim you down without losing weight. My friends, family, coworkers, and people I don't even know has sought me for fashion advice at some time or another.

My final answer is no you are not fat.

Yes you are, depending on what you have and what you don't have. Say, 5ft6 for 140 with no hands is fat. 5ft6 for 140 with pot belly and lean hands/legs is fat.

So the answer is Yes, you are fat. I assumed you are asking this because you have something sticking out or missing ?

Do you have huge love handles? Does your belly hang over your waistline? If not, then you're not fat. The BMI (body mass index) is just a generic guideline.. it's not the 'be all, end all' to determining optimum height and weight.

It depends on your bone structure and how much muscle mass you carry.

Most women 5'6" should weigh between 120-150. So, I would guess you are fine. If you are worried, try toning exercises. You won't lose weight, but you will slim up a bit and be leaner.

Yes you're a whale!

...On serious hand if you think you will drop to 75 lbs then give up! If your belly isn't hang over the top button on front of jean and you are athletic then no reason to worry.

I think that it is sad that you have to come on here to get your ego stroked. So my answer is yep you are fat (in your head) because you must need some therapy if you are asking strangers if you are fat. Don't you have a mirror (not that magic one!)?

do you feel fat? stop worrying about it. just hang out with people who are really, really fat and you'll look good by comparison. that should help to boost your self esteem. and if that doesn't work: 'i'm just kidding".
