Maybe, but I have a disturbing story about the Internet that made me absolutely sick.
I work in an academic library. Students come in all the time to do research, and we don't filter our computers so they can pretty much do whatever they want as long as they aren't offending anyone around them. One day, as we were getting ready to close, another student came to the counter and said there was something on the computers that we needed to remove ASAP. She wouldn't tell us what it was, and students hadn't touched that computer for HOURS.
So I walked over to the computer (thinking I was about to find porn), shook the mouse to knock it off of screensaver, and got the shock of my life. A blown up picture of a doctor after having just performed a partial birth abortion. Baby's head in one hand, mangled body in the other, examining the fetus. Another baby was in pieces on the table in front of him.
I was horrified. That picture will stick in my head for the rest of my life.

Of course. The world is a terrible place and sad things happen daily.
Recently I was moved to tears by an old BBC documentary on Rotschild Giraffes.

Yes, just last week I cried during Discovery Channel one-hour episode on the Tsunami that hit Indonesia/Thailand/Sri Lanka in Dec 2004. This guy's family got wiped out and he's the only survivor... this grown man was crying & wailing: why did You not take me too, God? I have no one left...!
OmG, it was a tear jerker...

Sooooooooo many times, but probably the worst was the 9/11 twin towers and the tsunami. Seeing those poor people wiped out surely made most HUMANS cry.

I am a sappy type of person and can cry at anything. But I think 9/11 takes the cake for my tears. I still get teary eyed thinking about it.

Yes - the final scene of Stephen Poliakoff's The Lost Prince. My son had just been diagnosed with autism and I was in denial: this gave me the catalyst I needed to let go.

Yes... and being 26 weeks pregnant, its getting worse. I cry now at the Cancer charity adverts.
The worst news just recently reported on the Darfur crisis, seeing those dead children and starving children and the desperation of the mothers that couldn't feed them was just heartbreaking.

I would have to say the morning that I viewed the horrifying breaking news in New York 911. That day will never be forgotten.
