she's still talking to him through the messenger, but why cant she see him physically to talk to him, or does he have a speech impediment? either way if she has no problem with it and she's content with the relationship let her still date him....

Dear,
1. If you are her truly best friend and you know that she is happy having this type of relationship with her boyfriend, then you should be happy for her. Happiness it not always hearing things, sometimes it's better by the way people write and express their feelings that count.
2. If she knows the guy whom she is dating thru MSN then you shouldn't be worried.
3. If on the other hand, she does not know this person and he does not want to talk, then she should be careful. The person whom she might think that is on the other side of the net might not be a trust worthy person.
4. solution: so that she could be entirely sure that he is the right guy, she should ask him to meet her, ask him to bring some id's just to make sure he's the guy.
Good luck!

It sounds like he's a fraud.
He probably lives with someone, is in a serious relationship now (probably a one-sided one, that the woman has no clue he's prowling the Internet), or he's married. He sounds like he doesn't want to be caught talking to another woman.
I'll bet that he isn't any of the things he says he is, either...like a professional soccer player in Ireland, or a famous rock star in Italy, A U.S. Airforce fighter pilot in Iraq, or even really 6'3" or 29 years old....etc. He's probably some fat, old, bald dwarf with 6 kids, an IQ of 75, and no money or job. Maybe he's even in jail? It's been known to happen. What if he pretended to be of one ethnic group, but he's really another (with a pronounced accent), and knows you prefer (let's say) Eskimos? Or...maybe "he's" a "she"?
Sweetheart...emailing back and forth with someone is also not the same thing as "dating". You actually need to talk to, spend time with, and touch someone...to be dating them (for instance, have you ever been on a real date...like going with someone to a movie, or dinner, etc? You sound very young or naive or both. What you are having is an on-line flirtation.
It all sounds way too fishy to me.
Dump this person, and move on with your life.

If she can't talk to him in person, then it's not a relationship. How can she enjoy his company when he hides behind a computer. She should go out and meet other people besides on the net. Apparently, this so called boyfriend has something to hide so I'd move on.

I would tell her to find someone she can have a real relationship with, who takes her out on dates and acts like a real boyfriend. To be honest many people online lie. They say they are a certain age, sex, and some are not nice people. She needs to be careful and not get connected to someone who could hurt her or cause her pain.

Why shouldn't she? Just because he can't talk doesn't mean that he doesn't have a personality or isn't capable of love. Your friend can easily learn sign and they could communicate very nicely (and talk about you behind your back and you'd never know it).

Yes. If she is happy, then she is giving him a chance he may never have again, and that is awsome. She is a good person. If you are a real friend, then you will not doubt her decision. Grow up!!

It's not his fault that he can't talk so you shouldn't hold it against him and if she wants to date him then they should still date.
