Even brand new at the dealer, a dipstick is not too expensive, but if you want to get a used one from an auto salvage yard, here are two of them in your area:
Furr Auto Service
2009 Portage St
Kalamazoo, MI, 49001-3835
(269) 345-0522
Comstock Discount
6018 E Michigan
Comstock, MI, 49041
(269) 349-4464
Hope this helps

Your best bet is to go to your local salvage yard. Call around and see who has a car of your make and year. That's the cheapest route, and the easiest. Noo need to pay the dealer's price for it.
You could also try a place like NAPA or Auto Zone but if they do have one it will be a universal type...I don't recommend it.
Hope this info helped.

I have an 02 Mountaineer. I believe we have the same drive-train. The tranny fluid doesn't need to be topped off unless you notice either a fluid leak under the vehicle or improper tranny operation (hard shifts or difficulty shifting, etc.). Check your owner's manual for checking/topping off fluid. It's easier than you may think.
