Can you find out what site someoone is one through an IP address?

Okay, I was wondering, say I got my friend's IP address off of his computer. Would I be able to find out what web site he's on from my home computer? I think that would be pretty amusing.

No. The Internet Protocol (IP) address is akin to the telephone number of the computer or website. Since you have your friend's computer's IP address and are trying to find out where your friend is surfing to, that would be like trying to tap your friend's telephone calls by only having his phone number.
