I already have lodging. I simply am interested in what others might suggest to see and do. What is the history of the Bristol area?

the avon gorge with brunels bridge over the river
clifton
bars and restaurants in the centre
Bristol was built, unfortunately, on profits made from the slave trade, particularly sugar- so the museums are trying to recognise this and make the history of what we did to the african americans more clear.
there are good places to see nearby, like cheddar gorge and bath with its roman ruins, and you can travel into wales over the severn bridge also, just down the coast is somerset, lots of country villages and seaside.
My daughter lives in Bristol, and she really likes it
hope you enjoy your stay!!
