Football is supposed to be played, not cheated, that's what the referees are trying their best to prevent.

This cup is a different because the referees are giving cards to some things that weren't card-faults before. Like when you tackle and don't hit the ball only the player (or the player before the ball), it IS a dangerous move that might hurt someone, so they give a card to show that PLAYERS SHOULDN'T RISK OTHER PLAYERS HEALTH!!!

Another thing I noticed is that now the judges are giving cards for anti-game attitudes, like delaying a FK by hitting the ball away and making a light fault just to give time for your team to come back.

Some faults weren't really a yellow card fault, but if the referee thinks the intention was to make the fault (usually on counter-attacks), then he will show the card to the player. The truth is, they got ALOT of players that thought they were smart, bad for those teams/players and good for soccer as a whole.

I liked alot the referees this tournament, surely it changed many things, but in the next the players will be VERY VERY careful, what will result in less faults/injuries and more game.

Seeing that they have to be so strict, no wonder many mistakes happened. So stop crying and understand that this is a NEEDED evolution of soccer, or we'll have anti-game attitude on all games.

I think they do it so the team they don't like can lose. Spain got more fouls than France, when France was all up on Spain more than Spain was all up on France. I won't get over the fact that Spain lost!!!!!!!
