I started going to a tanning bed place because I am going to Mexico in a few weeks. And I heard someone mention this, and I am not sure if it's true.

Yes, you should wait about an hour before taking a shower. Also shave your legs before you tan, not after. Use cheep lotions when you start, until you have a good base tan and then go to the more expensive lotions. always use lotions and after lotions!

Doesn't matter. The tanning process is triggered by exposure to UV rays. The water does nothing to affect the process. Once you are exposed the process will run it's course. Word of advice: skin cancer is on the rise and very dangerous. Self-tanners have improved so much try them instead. I sued to lay out int he sun for hours. I use self-tanners now and get so many compliments on how good my "tan" looks. Quicker and safer.

From what i've heard, its best to wait up to four hours to go shower. Your skin tans for up to four hours after you leave the bed, but if you go in the shower, the process stops.

your body's natural oils enhance your tan. Showering soon after tanning can dry out your skin . Wait a few hours before showering then use a moisturizing body lotion.

I think that it might be true, because if you automatically take a shower it will hurt your skin. Simply wait a few minutes and than you can take a shower.

I don't go tanning, you should probably just call the place you got tanned and ask them what they suggest.
