Pull it all up and buy sod or new seed and start over.. that is the only real way... since it has ran rampart there is no one quick fix solution than what I put above.. I know it sucks.. happened to me and this really does work..

You might be to late to take care of crab grass because once they sprout ..its over. You can wait until next year early spring to spread crab grass preventer. I would recomment the Scotts brand not only because it works but they have a whole four step seasoning package for your lawn year round. You can however start the 4 step anytime of the year (crab grass preventer is first). My only reservation is that you keep the grass watered adn use a spreader to disperse the nodules because the preventer can cause lawn burns. So don't use a lot of fertilizer and water the grass ofter (like every day) ...good luck

Crabgrass is hell I have the same problem.I just got through pulling up a bunch of it.

use scots weed and feed plus 2 this will kill the weeds crabgrass etc

get weed killer for your lawn. They carry stuff like that a Home Depot. After you've done that fertilize it .
