Betty Boop was her married name. When she was single, she went by the name of "Betty Bop." It worked. She got pregant and had a shot gun wedding. Later she gave birth to a little girl that she named "Betty BooBoo."

Betty Boop is supposed to only be 18 years old. She is not married. She was supposed to appeal to the young soldiers of WWII. That's why even though she is so sexy, she is a bit childish in her nature.
