Depends on how old you are taling about. Some of the Great Old School artist have retired, died or are living in retirement centers.
There are still some out there. Look at Paul McCartney (64), The Rolling Stones are still rocking strond. Carlos Santana is going to be in concert in Las Vegas on July 29,2006. Ok, Jimi Hendriz is dead as well as Jim Morrison (Doors) and the great Janis Joplin too. You can still catch Davy Jones or Mickey Dolenz (The Monkees) touring around. Steve Miller is still out there too. All you have to do is just stay tuned and you will still hear them.

Old School never die just the artists. Music just change with the time. The music today will be old school in 30 years.

Some of the Old School Rappers enjoy successful acting careers....check out Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, Will Smith & Ice Cube. And all those mentioned are still releasing music. How wonderful I LOVE them all. :)
You will probably find the old school singers from like the sixties and seventies and maybe even eighties in Vegas on the strip performing in one of those hotels.

well the old school music is still listened to and played on many radio stations, the artists, are probably living good right now, and see no reason to work, or create anymore music.

They got pushed aside by new artists who have less talent, more gunshots to the head, and songs filled with profane language! The old school artists are now unfortunately 'has beens.'

A few of them are still around but since almost no radio stations will play their new stuff they end up touring at amusement parks or playing after baseball games and other stuff like that.

alot of old school rappers became actors others got tv shows like flavor flav and ive heard some like MC Hammer are trying to get concerts others got arested or killed thats all i know
