I think it could be possible. Even though some people ask why someone doesn't come back and tell us this, if you came back in time and told everyone this, how would you know what effect it would have? What would probably happen it that they when it's invented, nobody will be able to use it, and then it might as well not exsist. There's irony for you.

ANNNNNNYYYYYYTHING is possible. The question is what's the
PROBABILITY. Fundamental (no, that's not humor with psychotics) states that if something has a possibility, it has a corresponding probability also. Republicans have been doing it
for years, they go back in time, travel back to the present with the
same old sh*t. What you really need technically, is a cyclotron
or linear accelerator the size of Texas. Then, somehow, you need to get in it. I'm curious from all the people who answered,
would you go FORWARD or BACK? Why?
The real interesting part of time travel is, assuming you could
do this, get into a cyclotron for the ride, would you see yourself
standing there when you got back? As has often been posited,
would all history change? -since everything relates to everything
that's the simplest way of putting it) or- are there special worm
holes in the superstrings that you could do this in without
affecting everything else- past, present, future. By the way,
the movie, "Time Machine"- who liked the old one better? the new one?
H.G. Wells really believed it, Einstein did, Hawkings does now. Enjoy your trip, make sure you bring a camcorder and
lots of film, and of course, plenty of food and water, since
you've no idea if any of that will be there when you get there.
Something else to ponder: what if you really did travel
wayyyyyyyyy into the future, but there wasn't one anymore?
Sleep on it folks..................

Yes, I believe time travel is possible, but we have yet to develop technology sophisticated enough. So, for Star Trek fans, it means space really isn't the final frontier. Remember, people used to think that it was impossible to go to the moon.

Possible but I doubt that it would be very practical. Einstein's relativity theory allows for travel into the future (time dilation effect) but travel to the past might be too risky.

no, if there was time travel we would have people coming back in time and there would be people walking around from the future and i dont think they would be able to hide themselves very well. plus, after seeing back to the future, it just seems a little too dangerous

Sure its possible but messing with time and space is always tricky. You don't want to end up your own father :P

If it were possible, don't you think someone would have come from the future and told us about it?
