I can really empathize with you on this one! I have fought this battle for many years and I am not sure that you can get rid of the shine but there are ways to control it. You do NOT need to overwash your skin (2 times a day is enough). When you wash your skin to much it dries it out making your skin produce more oil. Believe it or not you need a moisturizer but one that is oil free. You should be able to get one at a drug store but if price is not problem you could go to a department store and have a consultation with a reptuable line. They should give you samples so that you can try the products before buying them. Another company that is not widely known but I have liked is DHC. (They are really good) They have very pure products and will send you samples if you request.

The best make-up product to get rid of the daily oil I have EVER used and I SWEAR by it is Matte Maker Invisible Oil Blotting Powder by Laura Geller. I buy mine on QVC. I can't live without it!!!! It is a white powder (but it does not show on your skin) and it is WONDERFUL!!! I put it on it the morning and then once during the day. I promise it makes such a difference. I do not even see a shine when I use it. Laura Geller also makes a kit for keeping make-up on during the day. It includes several products. (like things to keep on eyeliner, mascara, etc.) It also has the matte maker and another product called spackle that goes under the make-up. I only really liked the spackle and the matte maker but other friends of mine have liked all of the products so... I guess it is a personal thing.
With all of the said....there is an up side to your problem. If you do have oil you will most likely not wrinkle as easily...smile!!!
I wish you luck and hope that some of this was helpful to you.

during the day you can use a blot powder to get rid of shine or if you're worried about having a face that looks like frosting I highly reccomed rice paper sheets. They take the shine away wonderfully. Rather inexpensive too. If you dont buy those you can always use a thin napkin to blot your nose to get rid of shine. I have really shiny skin too and realized that even if I change my soap it doesnt help. It might help for a couple days but thats it. Make sure your products are all oil free too.

It could be the cleansers you use. Try using one thats oil free or for oily skin and that normally works. I suggest Avon's Retroactive Anew 2-1 cleanser. Its great and doesn't make your face shiny or oily. Also try using a light non greasy moisturizer after you wash your face. Stick to powder based foundations instead of liquids, it will only intensify the shininess. Any other questions email me and I will be more than happy to help.

I use a product called acne free in the morning and at night and it gets rid of oily skin its like proactiv but better. For extra caution use a powder on your nose after you've put on all your make up, it dulls the look of shiny skin.

Make sure you wash your skin througherly in the morning and at night time. You can get special makeupwipes and facewash for greasey/oily skin now adays. If you are from the uk, i have a really good makeup powder (beacause i suffer from the same oily skin!) its make by collection 2000 and you just dab it on the shiny areas of your skin. Dont wash your face with soap either! Hope this helped :]

make sure all your products are oil free. i have really oily shiny skin also and i use biore oil/shine free moisturizer and it helps minimize the shine through out the day. you may also want to stay away from liquid foundations. if you do use liquid you should try an oil free base for underneath your makeup. m-a-c has a really good base. and if you are still shiny i suggest carrying around clean and clear's oil blotting sheets! good luck

Ok, here is a make-up trick:
If you don't use (or have handy) blotting papers (you can buy these to carry with you) go into any restroom and grab one of the sterile tissues that are used to put on the seat. Tear off a small section and use to blot (not wipe) the oil off your face. Make-up will mostly stay in place and you will have soaked up the oil!

Try some type of cleanser for oily skin tones. Also, instead of using liquid founation, try a powder, it will help your face not look as shiney
