In 1935 the Iranian government requested those countries which it had diplomatic relations with, to call Persia "Iran," which is the name of the country in Persian. The suggestion for the change is said to have come from the Persian ambassador to Germany, who came under the influence of the Nazis. At the time Germany was in the grip of racial fever and cultivated good relations with nations of "Aryan" blood since the ancestors of Germans are ARYAN (IRAN).
And also Pars is the term for the race of Persian people so when you are refering to Persian peoples race u should say Parsi(persian).

There isn't much of a difference. For thousands of years that country was called Persia. Fifty or sixty years ago they changed the name to Iran. So at the change Persians became Iranians.

Persian is an ethnicity, whereas Iranian is a nationality.
You could be Iranian by nationality, but (for example) Turk by ethnicity.
Most Iranians are Persians (and vice versa!).
Persian is also the language spoken by Persians (Iranians).

on the paper, "Iranian" is the adj. for anybody who's from Iran. and until 1935, "Iran" was a Persian word which in English meant "Persia". but in fact, "Iran" itself means "the land of Aryans" so "Iranian" means "Aryan", Persians beside Medes(Kurdish) and Parthians (Pahlavi) (both are minorities in Iran) are one of the Aryan tribes, like Germans or Pasargadeas etc. . But on the other hand , both Persian and Iranian means the same because whole country of Iran is Iran because of real brave lions from Persian tribes. so Iran is Pars (in English: Persia) and all the Iranians are Parsi (in English: Persian), of course these days USA want to break up Iran !!!

Persia specifically mentions a tribe of arians who inhabited the south west of modern day Iran.
Iran means land of the Arians where all the tribes living in it are all summed up.
Calling that Land Persia was a bit racist because only 60% people living in it were Persian, with the other 40 being azure's, Kurds and ...
