Because there is only so much I can do. I can give a little money, write a congressman or 2, and that's about all I can do for starving children in the world.
That leaves a lot of brain for other things. I can raise my kids, deal with a nutty sister, keep my GPA up, worry about world events, and I can still worry about Harry Potter.
It doesn't make me a bad person.

This has 4 books/characters which i like! yet why did the Ministry call a muggle symbologist for a wizard's factor? The section approximately Edward, Bella and Jacob getting cropped up rocked to the middle! Serius and Bellatrix rather have been heated up on the difficulty. regardless of the incontrovertible fact that i think of Edward, Bella and Jacob might have hated the St. Mungo's wellbeing center for Magical Maladies and injuries. probable, Bella's lip gloss have been stained with Edward's blood. i think of SM might have chosen Winky as Jacob and the donkey interior the Shrek video clips as Edward and Bella might desire to be Cho Chang with freckles and zits on her brow asserting 'maximum gruesome' (as a replace of 'sneak' or some thing like that.) The advert approximately Madame Malkin's gown shop is fairly creative. The poll- Aslan's mane is a lot greater majestic than Dumbledore's long beard tucked away in his belt. Teabing is in user-friendly terms a double crossing 2 confronted fool. Mad-eye Moody's leg, or particularly, eye is a lot lots greater optimal. Fenrir's canines a minimum of does not stink as Edward's does. in addition to, Edward might merely have good finding tooth which stink like Shrek's residing house.

That's one of the best questions I have read here.
"Escapism"...People escape into the world of Harry Potter to get away from the horrible problems that really exist. Reality can be so damn overwhelming sometimes. We don't have to "do" anything regarding Harry Potter. If we acknowledge the dying kids in Africa, we realize that we can't go on living until we actually help to do something about it.

Its because 50000 african kids die everyday, while we were actually expecting Harry Potter to do great things or at least contribute even though hes fictional. Seriously though its because people expect them to die though its a bit insensitive.

Ugly and terrible things happen every day, it is a sad but true story. If we torment about all the terrible things in the world that we can not control we would go insane. We have to be the best we can be and correct all the injustices we can in our life. We also have to have outlets in our life to release our daily stresses. Reading books and following their characters is just a way for us to live outside our own world.
It doesn't make us uncaring bad people!

people can be really dumb.........
i agree with you on that one - the US should have way bigger things to worry about then the ones we waste time on now
we should be worrying about things like the AIDS epidemic for example, not a stupid book
