Use Thunderbird, download messages on the main computer, shutdown thunderbird, share the directory in which the messages are stored, on the second computer set the mail directory for thunderbird on the first computer and have fun.
2
Install a mail server (http://www.burrotech.com/officemail.php), have the server pull the mail from your ISP, set it up that copies of all emails go to your second computer (2 accounts, all emails forwarded to both accounts, see manual) and use your favorite email program to process all emails. Have copies of each e-mail sent go to the other account too. May have to BCC yourself to do this.

I"m not quite sure what you're trying to do but you need to have an email client installed on every machine that you want to get email on. Once you do that, you have to configure it to connect with your email server.
