I found this question really hard and intriguing.

I tried to think of "random" things or useless facts, but none of them were truly random, since the thoughts were all triggered by something or other.

(are you following this?)

I think it must be impossible to really think of something "randomly". It would have a root somewhere: in some memory, or having just read
something, hearing someone say something, seeing a picture, or a bus passing, somehow leading you to think of this other (seemingly) random thought.

So, the randomest thing I can give you here has to be a number. A random jubble of letters wouldn't
make sense, and wouldn't be valid. So here goes. I could go on forever to make it even more random, but
it would get boring.

(59837647325.24592738476 -
3956128376485763.49263745065 ) /
1694658354097863.4916559739

(which, if you can't read it properly because of the spacing, is the first number minus the second number,
all divided by the 3rd number.)

am I a nerd, or what?

The World's Longest Toenails
In 1991, the combined length of Californian Louise Hollis' 10 toenails was 2 m 21 cm (87 in) – so each is approximately 15.25 cm (6 in) long. She started growing her toenails after leaving them long to make her feet look pretty in sandals for the summer. The mother of 12 and grandmother of 21, Louise just couldn't bear to file them down. She enjoys the attention the nails bring her while out and about in her hometown of Compton, California. She spends two days a week maintaining the nails, with the whole family lending a hand to help paint and file her collection. She is single after a frustrated husband gave her the ultimatum, "It's me or the nails!" Her reply, "I've had you for 21 years but the nails are new."

Trivia was a Roman godess. Her name refers to 3 roads. People would take a sacrifice for her when they got to a crossroads, people would meet there and indulge in idle gossip. That's how the word trivia came to mean what it does today.
