The Queen and the Royal Family cost the UK taxpayer £37.4m in the last financial year, her financial public accounts reveal.
The cost, equivalent to 62p per person in the UK, rose 4.2% over the previous year, accountants said.

Well, when we have an NHS crippled by financial debt, i think 37.4 million would look quite well going towards sortign that problem out.

I don't think I have time to answer this - I'm imagining how useful an extra 62p per year would be to me!
I wonder how much each it would cost if we got rid of the monarchy and had President Blair instead!

When you compare that to the millions of pounds they bring in in tourist dollars, I can't think of a better investment. And the 'new' Royals seem to be very adept at getting media coverage around the world, unlike their very staid ancestors. It sounds like a win-win situation. Sort of a Royal Zoo with talking animals?

we shld get rid of them, why shld some pple be superior than others by birth right, we shld vote for anyone who wants to lead.
